General

I’ve never strength trained before, what should I know?

Our coaches are all trained to teach you everything you need to know about the basics of weight training. We will keep you safe and meet you where you are with any limitations or injuries.

I forgot something. What can I find at the gym?

We have everything from hair ties to deodorant. And, if it's not in the locker room, you can find it in our Ethos Market.

Is there parking available?

There is free street parking available on Lincoln Ave, Patterson (our cross street), and non-permit neighborhood parking just west of our facility.

Group Training

What if I am injured or need modifications?

Please show up 5-10 minutes early for class. Our reception team and coaches will take you through the program to ensure you are given modifications that will work for you. If you’d like us to know anything before class, feel free to reach out to us beforehand.

I’m pregnant, can I take class?

Absolutely! Our team is pre and postpartum trained to support your needs.

What is the cancellation policy for class?

To avoid a lost credit and the $25 late cancel fee, make sure to cancel your reservation 12 hours ahead of class time.

What is the late arrival policy?

Group Training classes have a 10-minute late arrival policy. To ensure that you have the proper time to warm up and join in on the group joint prep and activation, we ask that you arrive as close to class start time as possible. If you arrive past the 10-minute mark, you will not be admitted to class. We know things (and traffic) happen! If you are late, you can always stick around in the Ethos Den (our coworking + coffee space) until the next class or check in with our team to see if you can utilize your credit for a Recovery time slot.

What is the waitlist policy?

If class is full, you will have the opportunity to sign up for the waitlist. In the event that someone cancels their reservation, you will be notified by Mindbody that you are moved from the waitlist to class. In the event that you receive this email within 4 hours of the scheduled class time and cannot attend, you will not be charged.

Treatment

What is acupuncture and what does it help with?

Acupuncture uses needles to direct blood flow and restore balance to the body - supporting its natural regulatory processes. Benefits can include pain relief, stress relief, a more balanced nervous system and hormones, bolstered immune responses, less inflammation, and more. It is just one modality within the larger paradigm of East Asian medicine. See our Treatment page for more information.

What is sports acupuncture?

Sports acupuncture is a specialty that aims to address injury, musculoskeletal concerns and pain, improve recovery, as well as enhance sports performance. See our Treatment page for more information.

What is the cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 24 hours notice or miss their appointment will be charged a cancellation fee to the card on file that is equal to the cost of your visit. Please contact us to reschedule, cancel, or discuss any questions/concerns.

Do you take health insurance?

We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO policies for acupuncture and also accept HSA/FSA funds. We can check your insurance coverage as a courtesy but cannot guarantee payment by your insurance company on your behalf. We will submit claims on your behalf and collect the patient's responsibility for rendered services thereafter.

What's included at an initial and return visit?

An initial visit will include time for discussion and assessment, as well as a full treatment. Return visits include time for quick assessment of the patient's response and treatment. Treatment may include acupuncture, electroacupuncture, auricular acupuncture, gua sha, fire cupping, moxibustion, heat therapy, and/or herbal medicine prescriptions.

How long is an appointment?

New patients can expect their initial visit to be 90 minutes. Return patient visits will be 60 minutes.

Do we offer dry needling?

We do! Our licensed acupuncturists offer dry needling with a gentler needle technique and greater skill than most dry needle certified practitioners. More experience with needling and greater understanding of tissue health and dynamics leads to a better patient experience overall.

Recovery

What should I wear in the Ethos recovery area?

Leave your troubles (and your shoes) behind. Clothing is required. For both sauna and plunge, we recommend either swimwear or lightweight athletic gear (shorts, sports bra, etc.). Towels are available for before and after your recovery experience.

What are hygiene and cleanliness protocols for the Recovery area?

We require that you shower before using the cold plunges. To keep our Recovery area clean, we utilize a professional cleaning service multiple times per week to complement daily staff cleanings. Each self-sanitizing tub is inclusive of a built-in filtration system and is emptied and recalibrated weekly to ensure a hygienic experience.
